- Summer 2006 - I have heard that CEC will no longer make the copper "employee"
tokens.

items rather than tokens intended for use in games. They seem to be fairly

token that seller claims was used in Saudi Arabia.
- March 2017, Ray spoke with a CEC manager and was informed that, "they
discontinued tokens nationwide early last year and tokens dated 2016 are the
last. She told me that they were being phased out and that Alaska would be
the last state to convert and that tokens from around the nation were being
slowly transferred to Alaska for this purpose. She told me that it was due
to the cost of manufacturing the tokens, the cost to repair and fix the machines
when they got jammed and a myriad of other reasons."
