About this token:

• Bodo writes: In the 80`s the Posemuckel was Hamburgs No. 1 Discotek for people between 16 and 26. The Posemuckel_taler where changed at the entrance, but there where a lot of shops in the neighborhood that accepted these coins for paying a coffee or something else. Teenagers accepted them as normal money, and every young Hamburgian usually had some of them in his pockets...
• Berni writes: for entrance in the Posemuckel Beertown with 2 Discos and 15 diferent Bars you must change money in Taler. A way to be sure you spend the same money inside.
• Dave writes: I worked in the Posemuckel which was a german style beer village, around 1984 , and 1986 as Discjockey the tokens were used in exchange for money, people used to save them and then have a night out with them
• Helmut writes: Yes the Posemuckel is closed today. For four years ago [1999] they stopped after 20 Years, today there´s no new Disco in there it´s a empty room in the celler from the Road called "Bleichenbrücke 10" The token you get at the entrance when you pay for comming and this token you get at the door you could bye everything in the Disco Beer,Cola, something to eat,sweets. For 1 Poselmuckeltoken you got a 0,5l Beer.The Payment with this token was stopped in 1989 when the disco became a new Management.
• Henk writes: I am told Posemuckel is a bar/disco in Hamburg Germany . They used pieces of 2 marks and pieces of 50 pfennige. They are listed in Menzel, 1991 ed.

  5701.2: 2 mark 1978, brassed iron (yellow/gold colour)
  5783.1: 50 pf. 1979, brassed iron
  5783.2: 50 pf 1982. brass, but with Posemuekel

  These tokens are used to buy drinks with, catalogue prices: 4 - 5 dollars (too high!)
