Spur Cola
18mm, copper
About this token:
- eBay auction listings include magazine ads from for Spur Cola, the ones
I've seen date between 1942 and 1949.
- John writes: I was a missionary in Haiti 89-91 and had Spur cola then.
The bottle was brown and the label red. The lid was red with white spur print.
Phenomenal soda!
- Debby writes: When my husband and I were missionaries in Haiti in the early
'70's we could buy Spur Cola, that was produced by Canada Dry I believe. That
would explain the crown on the "coin" or token. I do not recall seeing any
of these tokens but the bottles were green glass like old 7-Up bottles and
had the same type of bottle cap that was crimped around the lip of the bottles
at that time.
