Robert writes: This token is actually from a computer game called Ultima. This coin was used to represent one pence in game money. There also exists a silver serpent Silver piece and an Gold Crown coin as well. My guess is that it is made out of colored aluminum and has no collector value other than people that are interested in the series of games from Richard Gariott and Origin systems. I honestly can’t remember what version of Ultima they came from. I know that the games came with a cloth map but one of the later games came with a bag of coins also. It’s possible that it was a collection of the earlier versions of Ultima that included the bag of coins. I believe it was 3 of the copper coins, 2 of the silver coins, and one of the gold coins. The real coins were nothing more than an amusing extra but they also existed in game. In Ultima 6 you can talk to the coin minter and she would describe all the coins in detail to you and you could actually compare the description to the coins you were holding.
